Members will be aware that over recent days there has been some relaxation of the lockdown in relation to opening of bowling greens.

Unfortunately, the guidance that we have received from the Government and Bowls England shows several restrictions which mean that at the present time it would not seem to be viable to open our green.

However, in the hope that things may get better in the next few weeks I have asked the Officers of the club to meet online on 17th June to discuss the options available to us,in the hope that we can progress with a limited opening of the green.
I must make it clear that if we are able to open the green it will not be business as usual and there will undoubtedly be restrictions that will have to strictly adhered to.

From recent figures issued it appears that only 6 of the 56 clubs in the county have opened their greens, so we are by no means alone in the measures that we are taking.
I hope that I can give you better news after 17th June.

In the meantime, STAY SAFE.
