BRENDA & HAROLD (M.B.E) YATESMEMORIAL PAIRS DAY 2016

What a lovely afternoon we all had on Saturday July 23rd when we had our annual “Brenda and Harold Yates Day” which is kindly sponsored by their family each year.
Thirty two members took part in the Competition and were watch by about twenty + members who witnessed some excellent matches, with all the pairs trying hard to get to the final and win some cash prizes.
Everyone played 3 x 6 ends, the scores were all added up at the end and the two pairs that made it to the final were Diana Adcock and Paul McDonald v Barry Westwood and Graham Benefer.
The final was a strongly contested match of six ends which was eventually won by Diana and Paul. Congratulations to them and well played Barry and Graham
After the final everyone went in for a very well deserved afternoon tea where the prizes were presented, finishing with the usual raffle
Thanks to everyone who attended and to everyone who carried out the usual admin, catering, match preparation duties and bringing raffle prizes to make the day the success it was,
I am sure Steve (Yates) and the family will be pleased how we remember Brenda and Harold
